Borden Beck Lunch, Dec. 2011
You are invited to the annual Borden Beck Holiday Luncheon of the Harvard University Club of Oregon on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at noon at the Multnomah Athletic Club, 1849 SW Salmon, Portland, OR 97205.
The Borden Beck Scholarship, established in memory of the leading recruiter of Harvard applicants from Oregon for thirty years, was established by donations from local donors. The scholarship is presented annually to a first-year student at Harvard College, who will speak at the luncheon about the experiences of freshmen from the Northwest at Harvard. Other undergraduates will make briefer presentations and will participate in the discussion.
In addition to alumni, the luncheon is also for current Harvard undergraduates. It is an excellent opportunity for students and alums to network with one another. This year we shall be inviting newly admitted Early Action admittees. Early Action has returned this year after a four-year absence.
Charges for the luncheon are as follows:
Alumni and guests: $25 per person
Dues-paying members of the Harvard Club of Oregon and their guests: $22 per person.
Recent alumni (class of 2006 and later) $11 per person
Current undergraduates - free
