Harvard Club Borden Beck Lunch Dec. 27th

Dear Harvard alumni,

1) To suggest an event, or to volunteer to be an interviewer for admissions to Harvard College, or to volunteer in some other way, please fill out the box in the left column on our website at  https://hcoregon.clubs.harvard.edu/index.html

2)        You are invited to the annual Borden Beck Holiday Luncheon of the Harvard University Club of Oregon on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at noon.

The Borden Beck Scholarship, established in memory of the leading recruiter of Harvard applicants from Oregon for thirty years, was established by donations from local donors.  The scholarship is presented annually to a first-year student, who will speak at the luncheon about the experiences of first-year students from the Northwest at Harvard.  This year’s Borden Beck Scholar is Henry Li, a Wilson High School graduate.  Other undergraduates will make briefer presentations and will participate in the discussion.

In addition to alumni, the luncheon is also for current Harvard undergraduates.  It is an excellent opportunity for students and alums to network with one another. This year we shall also be inviting newly admitted Early Action admittees and their parents

Charges for the luncheon are as follows:

Alumni and guests: $25 per person

Dues-paying members of the Harvard Club of Oregon and their guests: $22 per person.

Recent alumni (class of 2007 and later): $11 per person

Current undergraduates:  free

RSVP by December 21 to Dick Dobrow

This event is only open to Harvard alums and their guests.  To obtain additional details if you are an alum, please fill out the "Let Us Know"  form in the left column on the front page of our website.
