HBS "Return from Summer"

Learn about Peer-to-Peer Financing at an evening of wine and cheese and a talk by Jason MacRae, VP of the Harvard Club of Oregon and Southwest Washington.

On Thursday, September 26th, the Harvard Business School Association of Oregon starts the new fiscal year 2013/2014 with a "Return from Summer" evening of wine and cheese and a talk by Jason MacRae, VP of Harvard Club of Oregon and Southern WA.

Jason will discuss his experience with Peer-to-Peer Financing (Crowd financing) which could disrupt offerings by traditional banks.

He started Portland based Maple Bay Advisors in 20013 in this space. Maple Bay Advisors manages money on behalf of high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutions worldwide to invest in this relatively high margin consumer lending opportunity made available by crowd financing. Now Maple Bay Advisor is one of the top 5 institutional investors in consumer loans originated by Prosper.com, a leading online lending platform with $420 million of loans outstanding to date.
