Background on Borden Beck
The Borden Beck Scholarship, established in memory of Borden Beck by Loren Wyss and other local donors, honors Borden Beck’s 30-year service as chairperson of the Harvard Schools and Scholarships Committee for Oregon. The scholarship is presented annually to one or more first-year Harvard students, who normally give a short talk about their experience as an undergraduate from the Pacific Northwest. Other undergraduate attendees are welcome to participate in sharing their own views during the discussion period. This luncheon is an excellent opportunity for students and alumni to network and engage in the local community.
