Calling all dogs and cat lovers! Come enjoy an afternoon at the Pixie Project, a non-profit animal adoption center and rescue with Kelly Peterson, Oregon Senior State Director of the Humane Society of the United States. This event is limited to 15 attendees so we are opening it up to members +1 guest. Kids over 16 are welcome as your guest!
Speaker Bios: Kelly Peterson
Kelly Peterson is an accomplished advocate in Oregon and has worked successfully in the Oregon legislature to pass a raft of bills to protect animals, ranging from wildlife and exotics to farm and companion animals. Kelly also played a crucial role in banning canned hunts by the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission. Not only is Kelly the Oregon Senior State Director of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), but she’s also founder of Fences For Fido (FFF), a Portland-based nonprofit that builds fences and doghouses free of charge for people keeping their pets on chains.
