The Harvard, Yale, and Princeton Clubs of Oregon and SW Washington invite you to
The Play That Goes Wrong
at Portland Center Stage
Look ahead to February 2026--might you relish a little levity and camaraderie? Then join us for discounted tickets to an evening of hilarious theater as Portland Center Stage presents the Olivier award-winning comedy The Play That Goes Wrong, by Henry Lewis, Henry Shields and Jonathan Sayer, and directed by Dámaso Rodríguez. Co-production with Seattle Rep.
It’s opening night for the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society’s production of the 1920s murder mystery Murder of Haversham Manor and, from lights up, the cast and crew are in an uphill battle to the final curtain. In this uproarious comedy, anything that can go wrong, absolutely will… with fantastic flair!
The New York Times raved, “A gut-busting hit! The audience roared as loudly as the crowds at any wrestling match.” The Guardian headlined their review “A very British Omnishambles. How The Play That Goes Wrong conquered the world.”
Preceding the play, attendees are invited to enjoy a glass of wine and a private backstage tour with Kelsey Tyler, Portland Center Stage’s Director of Education & Community Programs. NOTE: We’ll gather in the lobby at 4:45 pm, for a glass of wine and the backstage tour, which will be from 5-5:30 pm. Then attendees are free to dine in the Pearl District or downtown before the play’s curtain goes up at 7:30 pm.
