"Craft"-ernoon: Celebrating International Women's Day

Sunday, March 8, 2026 @ Harvard alum's home (Cedar Mill)  |  2-5pm

Join the Harvard Club of Oregon and Southwest Washington for a card-making and letter-writing "craft"-ernoon celebrating International Women's Day!

We'll have an opportunity to make by hand two cards featuring layers of art papers and embellishments (designs and supplies provided). A brief, guided discussion on the art of writing a letter will follow, including time to complete letters to two of the most influential women in participants’ lives.

The 2026 theme for International Women's Day is “Give to Gain,” with a focus on generosity and collaboration to support equality through connection, knowledge sharing and support. To encourage letter writing throughout 2026, at the end of the event, everyone will have a chance to select and take home five handmade cards from a project honoring one of the hosts’ grandmother.

Coffee, tea and sparkling wine provided. Participants are invited to bring a small savory or sweet snack to share.

This intimate event will be co-hosted at an alum’s home in the Cedar Mill area. Exact address will be provided 48hrs before the event.

Space is limited, so reserve your spot today.
