Meet the Harvard group shaping how AI serves people

AI for Human Flourishing helps organizations put people at the center of AI adoption, using the technology to advance well-being, equity, and long-term human flourishing rather than efficiency alone. Its work combines a community of knowledge sessions, speaking engagements, and a Founder Network with a practical framework, grounded in research from Harvard's Flourishing Network, to help executives, teams, and policymakers make more thoughtful, human-centric decisions about AI. Tamara Lechner chairs the group, leading its work on how AI can help people and organizations thrive as the technology evolves, alongside contributing member, Jason Haggart.

x

The group sits within Harvard's broader Flourishing Network — a growing body of Harvard-based work, including the Human Flourishing Program's own AI and Flourishing Initiative, examining how technology can serve human wellbeing.
